W.O.W is BACK!
It's been a while WOWWERS! I've noticed that over the past few months my face has been breaking out- it's on ATTACK MODE! Blackheads are going to drive my crazy! I went to the dermatologist yesterday and he perscribed some topical and oral medications. I do not (you're about to see my "hippie side") want to take the oral medication- I'd rather find something that I can just put on and viola all better. Here is a list of things I've tried thus far:

Hmm..I have yet to find something that always works on my skin..I find I have t change products with the seasons as my skin changes and some products ranges of items don't give my skin what I need. It's annoying. I do hope you find something that will sort you out, I know it can be fustrating. And go you on the weight, that is awesome..you can do it ;) And in reponse to your comment...hahaha..I always stare straight at the moustache as well, Dali had an even better one, strange but good :) xx
ReplyDeleteyou should try obagi clenziderm kit, they work wonders for me! :-)

Honestly, the only thing that works for me is just not to touch my skin at all! I wipe it off with a baby wipe at night and I try to never pop pimples. I think I could probably benefit from a home facial once every two weeks and that's about it! but my skin is very temperamental and this is the only thing that has worked for me.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment on my blog! I would love to follow each other and do a button swap :)
I'll grab your button now :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the weightloss! That's awesome! And I tried EVERYTHING over the counter and prescription for my acne, except Accutane. Then I went on this prescription stuff, and it was like magic! I'm a hippy-type too, but desperate times call for desperate measures (I used to be VERY insecure about my skin). I'm now following you!
ReplyDeleteOkay boy do I have something good for you to try! LOL, really though I have been struggling with hormonal acne for the last couple years and I hate using harsh chemicals and would never even consider something oral, but it's called Lerosett and it's this clay mask think. I have used it for about two months now and my skin is slower but surely getting clearer and clearer. I found out about it from my friend Crystal's blog. http://www.wannabebalanced.com/fashion-beauty-tips/treating-hormonal-acne/treating-hormonal-acne.html Make sure you get the free trial for only a couple bucks! If you try it let me know how it works. Their mission statement is crazy, it says that it's literally impossible for Lerosett to NOT clear up your face and that it's 100% effective. It's some cool stuff. It's made in Sweden so not many people have heard about it and I just love that it's completely natural! Try it, try it :)
ReplyDeletei use proactive only once a day since using it twice was too harsh on my skin, the second time i wash my skin in the day i use cetaphil and it seems to be working great!
ReplyDeleteProactive actually worked for me. I have found that those topical creams really dry my face out. I would have to used them SPARINGLY. When it says use 1 to 2 times a week, really just use it 1 to 2 times a week. Congrats on the weight loss! I need to workout for my cruise but I feel so lazy:(
ReplyDeleteMy boyfriend has taken pills and has used proactive at 2 separate times. both have helped tremendously. but medication is out of the questions(and not good for our bodies anyways), and proactive does the job but is like acid and stripes the skin dry...and hasn't worked for you.
ReplyDeleteI use Neutrogena's Blackhead Eliminating Daily Scrub first, then use aveeno's skin brightening daily scrub. Along with trying to drink as much water as possible, it has proven to help clear up my skin. I'll just get the occasional zit every 3-4 months. Hope this helps!

For a a few years, I used the dermatologist-prescribed Retin-A-Micro. Worked wonders. For the first few weeks, it irritated my skin, but the doctor said it was normal and to keep using. Eventually, I saw flawless results. I recommend this to any and everyone. However, everyone's skin reacts differently! Hope something works out for you!
ReplyDeleteI actually loved Proactiv when I could afford it. I wish I had the money for it now.
ReplyDeleteI'm a pimple popper. After the zit has been popped I immediately follow with alcohol. I even have one of those fancy black head sticks. The frub and squeeze your face and all the gunk comes outs. Gross, I know...but it works!
ReplyDeleteP.S. I love that you have an inner hippie. I always say that I'm a modern day hippie. No oral meds for me either if avoidable. Bleh!
Incredible, and they were swearing in Proactiv in my country!:/ I don't have those problems with my skin, but if I hear for some really good products any time from now on, be sure I'll tell u!!!

I had problems with my skin (acne) and my dermatologist told me to use Cetaphil Cleanser. You can find it at your drugstore. I have sensitive skin and it worked wonders. I also use a Clarisonic brush to clean my skin. It was a very good investment.

i love proactive im a huge fan
ReplyDeletebummer that these products didn't work out for you. skin is sometimes connected to what we eat. even if something is healthy you might be a bit allergic. maybe just start paying attention if you are having a breakout after eating a certain type of food? and of course plenty of water is always good, it just keeps your system clean! good luck!
